ZANZIBAR, June 30 -- THE President of Zanzibar, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, has urged the Peoples Bank of Zanzibar (PBZ) to continue investing in modern technologies, financial system security, product and service innovation, as well as the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), to increase efficiency and competitiveness in service delivery.

Speaking today, June 30 2026, at the 60th Anniversary of PBZ held at Zanzibar Airport, Dr Mwinyi congratulated the bank on its success in digital services and urged it to increase its efforts to be among the best banks in the country.
