DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 31 -- PRESIDENT Samia Suluhu Hassan is expected to grace the 19th Presidents Manufacturer of the Year Awards (PMAYA), which are scheduled to take place tomorrow.

Speaking yesterday in Dar es Salaam, the Director of the Confederation of Tanzania Industries (CTI), Mr Leodegar Tenga, said the awards are aimed at recognising, appreciating and celebrating the importance and contribution of the manufacturing sector to the countrys economic growth.

He said the awards provide an opportunity for CTI members and other stakeholders to engage and network and provide a platform for stakeholders to meet, engage in dialogue and exchange experiences on ways to advance the manufacturing sector and the economy at large.
