DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 16 -- OVER 5bn/- raised through the CRDB Marathon has been collected and directed towards the healthcare sector, enabling more than 400 children with heart conditions to undergo surgery and providing 240 women with high-risk pregnancies with medical treatment and safe delivery services.

CRDB Bank Chief Executive Officer, Abdulmajid Nsekela, made the statement today, August 16, 2026, while speaking at the CRDB International Marathon event held at Posta Grounds in Kijitonyama, Dar es Salaam.

The event brought together more than 17,000 participants from Tanzania and abroad and was attended by various government leaders. The Guest of Honour was Zanzibars Second Vice President, Hemed Suleiman Abdulla.
