DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 13 -- INVESTMENT in connectivity and technology driven environmental initiatives has helped Yas secure two honours at the TEHAMA Awards 2026, strengthening its position in Tanzanias rapidly expanding digital economy.

The telecommunications company also won the ICT for Environmental Conservation award, recognising its use of technology to support environmental protection and sustainable development.

The awards were presented recently in Dar es Salaam, at a ceremony attended by stakeholders from Tanzanias ICT and digital financial services sectors. The Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Angellah Jasmine Mbelwa Kairuki, was the guest of honour.
