COAST REGION, Sept. 19 -- THE government has allocated 300m/- to compensate people whose land will be acquired for development projects in Chalinze Council, Coast Region, during the 2025/26 financial year.

Member of Parliament for Chalinze and Minister of State in the Presidents Office (Public Service Management and Good Governance), Mr Ridhiwani Kikwete, announced the allocation on Wednesday during his tour of the constituency to inspect development projects. Speaking at Msoga Ward, Mr Ridhiwani said the allocation followed the governments commitment to ensuring that citizens whose land was acquired for public projects received compensation on time.
