DAR ES SALAAM, Nov. 4 -- The Communist Party of China (CPC) has adopted a new resolution aimed at strengthening internal party governance, intensifying the fight against corruption and enhancing leadership accountability, underscoring the role of political discipline and institutional reform in advancing the countrys long-term development agenda.

The resolution was adopted during the Fifth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, held in Beijing from October 26 to 29, 2026. The Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee presided over the meeting, while CPC General Secretary Xi Jinping delivered an explanatory speech on the draft resolution.
