DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 19 -- CHAMA Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) has urged political parties to avoid turning the October 29 events into a political campaign tool, calling for patience as a commission appointed by President Samia Suluhu Hassan investigates what happened.

CCM Secretary for Ideology, Propaganda and Training, Kenani Kihongosi, said the commission has been tasked with establishing the circumstances surrounding the events, including determining who was responsible, after which appropriate action could be taken where wrongdoing is established.

Speaking during an interview with Clouds FMs Power Breakfast programme on Wednesday, Mr Kihongosi said he could not comment in detail on the commissions work because he was not a member of the body....
