DODOMA, July 30 -- THE Tanzanian government has called on farmers to use the 2026 Nanenane Agricultural Exhibitions to acquire modern farming technologies and shift from subsistence agriculture to commercial production.

Deputy Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture responsible for Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanisation, Engineer Athumani Kilundumya, made the call while inspecting preparations for the annual exhibition to be held next month..

Elaborating, the Engineer said this years exhibition will provide farmers with practical knowledge on the use of improved seeds, good agricultural practices and modern technologies aimed at boosting productivity, improving crop quality and increasing value addition.
