DODOMA, Aug. 28 -- THE National Assembly has unanimously endorsed the nomination of Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Stewarts and Energy Minister Deogratius Ndejembi to be the next Tanzanias Vice Preisent with all 324 lawmakers who voted backing his appointment, representing 100 percent support.

Ndejembi was confirmed today, August 28, 2026, during the Fourth Meeting, Third Session of the 16th Parliament in Dodoma, following his nomination by President Samia Suluhu Hassan to fill the position left vacant by former Vice President Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi, who resigned from the post.
