NYANG'HWALE, April 13 -- BARRICK Bulyanhulu, through Twiga Minerals Corporation, has pledged 900m/- to fund development projects in Nyanghwale District Council this year, signalling a deeper push by the mining sector into local economic transformation.
The pledge, according to a statement issued to the Daily News yesterday, states that a significant portion of the fund is earmarked for the education sector, addressing critical infrastructure gaps.
Nyanghwale Council Chairperson John Isack said after the signing ceremony that the funds are not just numbers on a page, but essential lifelines for sectors including health, education, governance and environmental conservation.
