BRT Phase II project impresses the AfDB President
DAR ES SALAAM, Aug. 8 -- THE African Development Bank (AfDB) President,Dr Sidi Ould Tah, has described the Phase II Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project as an environmentally friendly transport initiative, saying the use of natural gas-powered buses will position Dar es Salaam among Africas leading cities in clean energy transport.
Speaking during the inauguration of the BRT Phase II infrastructure along Kilwa, Changombe, Sokoine and Kawawa roads in Azizi Ally, Temeke District, on August 7, 2026, Dr Tah said the project marks a significant step towards promoting sustainable urban transport while reducing environmental pollution.
