BAGAMOYO, March 10 -- THE Bagamoyo Town Council, Coast Region is planning to spend over 500m/- in construction of a new bus stand at Dunda Ward in the coming 2026/2027 financial year.

The councils Development Director, Shauri Selenda said during a recent council meeting that the current bus stand no longer meets the growing transportation needs following the councils elevation to a town council last year.

“In addition, the current bus stand area is frequently flooded during the rainy season, causing major inconvenience to travellers. The construction of a new bus stand will help to address these challenges,” he said.
