DAR ES SALAAM, May 29 -- AZAM FC Head Coach Jean-Florent Ibenge has been shortlisted for the vacant Mali national team coaching position, although the club says it has not received any official communication regarding the matter.

The Malian Football Federation (FEMAFOOT) has named Ibenge among five candidates being considered to take charge of the national team.

The Congolese coach is shortlisted alongside former Mali coach Mohamed Magassouba, Moroccan coach Badae Zaki and Portuguese coaches António Conceição Oliveira and Anthony Da Silva. Despite the announcement by FEMAFOOT, Azam FC says it is unaware of any approach concerning its head coach.
