MARA, Sept. 26 -- EXPERTS conducting the valuation of assets belonging to residents earmarked for relocation to pave the way for construction of a new Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) at the North Mara Gold Mine have been urged to strictly observe safety protocols throughout the exercise.

Barrick North Mara senior officer in charge of safety and health, Mr Francisco Ntemi, made the plea while addressing valuers and other professionals participating in the valuation exercise at Matongo Village in Tarime District. Mr Ntemi stressed the importance of identifying hazards, assessing potential risks and implementing appropriate control measures before starting or continuing work at any site.
