DODOMA, May 28 -- Minister for Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development, Leonard Akwilapo, has said the Government will continue ensuring citizens legally own land in order to reduce land ownership disputes and facilitate investment in the country.

Presenting the ministrys 2026/2027 budget estimates in Parliament in Dodoma on May 28, 2026, Akwilapo said the ministry, through the National Land Allocation Committee, approved land use permits for investment projects covering 45,371.24 hectares.

He said the Sixth Phase Government under President Dr Samia Suluhu Hassan continues taking various measures to improve land services and ensure citizens receive quality services efficiently.
