ZANZIBAR, July 9 -- ACT- Wazalendo has called on Zanzibaris to support the ongoing political reconciliation process, saying the initiative is aimed at securing a better future for the country rather than serving the interests of political parties or individuals.

The call was made by the ACT Wazalendo Zanzibar Chairman Othman Masoud Othman today, July 9, 2026, during the signing of a joint declaration between Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) and ACT Wazalendo, noting that some people doubt the process due to past experiences, others oppose it because they do not want changes that promote unity and good governance.
