DAR ES SALAAM, July 16 -- THE Dar es Salaam Port has achieved a new milestone after handling 33.7 million tonnes of cargo in the 2025/26 financial year, marking a significant increase from 27.7 million tonnes recorded in the previous year.

This was revealed by the ports Director, Abed G. Abed when opening the third Joint Industrial Council (JIC) meeting of the port in Bagamoyo noting that the performance represents an increase of 6m tonnes.
