Sri Lanka, April 23 -- Warakagoda Police state that a 24-year-old youth has died in a motorcycle accident that occurred on the Warakagoda-Bulathsinhala road in the Saddangoda area between 3.30 am and 3.45 am yesterday (22).

The deceased has been identified as Nirman Tharaka Kumara Wijeratne, a 24-year-old resident of Niyagodawara, Diyakaduwa, Mahagama.

The youth, who was employed at a garment factory in the Horana Gurugoda area, had gone to work around 12.30 pm on Tuesday (21). It has been revealed that while returning home after attending a friend's 'bana' (religious sermon) house in the Horana area at night, the motorcycle veered off the road and collided with a telephone pole, causing the accident.
