Sri Lanka, March 2 -- Western Province Governor Hanif Yusoof and Colombo Mayor Vraie Cally Balthazaar jointly inaugurated 'Salam Ramadan' - a cultural festival on Friday (27), at Green Path, Colombo.

The event was held under the aegis of the Western Provincial Council and the Colombo Municipal Council from February 27 to March 1.

The hybrid festival of food, culture and traditions was held with the participation of all four major Muslim groups, Moors, Malays, Memons and Bohras. Students of Muslim Ladies College presented a welcome dance.
