Sri Lanka, April 24 -- The manager of the hotel has filed a complaint with the Kandy Police regarding an incident in which a group of people staying at a Kandy hotel were attacked and hotel belongings damaged after some guests allegedly threw a piece of watermelon into an adjoining garden.

The complaint states that individuals residing in the property adjacent to the hotel had arrived in two vehicles, assaulted the security guard and damaged the hotel's property.

The hotel management states that although they carried out this attack after claiming that a piece of watermelon had fallen into the garden, which had taken place accidentally, Police have not taken any action in this regard so far.
