Sri Lanka, June 5 -- A long-awaited drinking water project for the Pottuvil Medical Officer of Health (MOH) office was recently completed with financial assistance from a non-governmental organisation and was handed over for public use.

The project, which was implemented and completed under the co-ordination of Sewds Sri Lanka, was declared open by Pottuvil MOH Dr. Uwais Farook.

The initiative was undertaken to fulfill the long-standing need for safe drinking water for both the members of the public visiting the MOH office and its staff.

A number of guests from Sewds Sri Lanka, officials and employees of the MOH office and other invitees attended the ceremony.
