Sri Lanka, July 30 -- The Walallawita Pradeshiya Sabha has decided to implement a structured Garbage Collection programme starting August 1, targeting properly sorted Waste to establish an efficient and sound Waste Management system under the theme: "Your responsibility in building a Clean Environment is joining hands with us for proper Waste Management."

Expressing his views on this, Chairman of the Walallawita Pradeshiya Sabha, Sunil Abeyasiri, stated: "The Pradeshiya Sabha's Environment Committee took the initiative for this decision. Furthermore, members from both the Ruling Party and the Opposition have extended their agreement to this programme. We have decided to implement this by securing public participation and support.
