The group, led by US-based Vietnamese monk Venerable Panyaro, left the country via Bandaranaike International Airport at 7.12 a.m., travelling to Istanbul before continuing onward to the United States.
The delegation included monks, lay devotees, and a dog named 'Aloka,' which accompanied the march throughout its journey.
