Sri Lanka, June 11 -- Following India A's thrilling eight-run victory over Sri Lanka A in the opening match of the tri-series, captain Tilak Varma expressed pride in the way his team handled the pressure. India A will meet Afghanistan A in the second match at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium today at 10.00 a.m., while Sri Lanka A will face Afghanistan A on Saturday.

Chasing 278 in the tournament opener, Sri Lanka A appeared to be cruising after skipper Sahan Arachchige struck a fine 74 off 72 balls. However, a dramatic collapse saw the last four wickets fall within 10 deliveries, including three wickets in the final over bowled by pacer Arshad Khan, handing India A a narrow but confidence-boosting win.
