Sri Lanka, Feb. 27 -- The government has extended the validity of school shoe vouchers worth Rs. 3,000 for the year 2026. Originally set to expire on February 28, 2026, the vouchers can now be redeemed until March 15, 2026.

The programme benefits selected school students, as well as lay and clergy students of Pirivenas and Silmathas. The extension ensures that eligible students have additional time to claim their vouchers for the purchase of school shoes.

Beneficiaries are encouraged to make use of the vouchers before the new deadline.
