SriLanka, Sept. 24 -- Ten-year-old Usara Inupa Bandara Nugegoda won the boys' Copper Division title at the Prima Kandy Regional Junior Open Golf Championship 2026, leading a strong showing by Golf Club Anuradhapura (GCA) at Victoria Golf Resort in Digana, Kandy.

The Lyceum International School Anuradhapura pupil carded rounds of 38, 35 and 35 for a total gross score of 108. He was one of four players from the club's six-member team to finish in the top four of their divisions at the tournament, organised by Sri Lanka Golf.

For Usara, the title marks another step in a year of steady progress. He has spent years training at Golf Club Anuradhapura under coach D. M. Pradeep Kumara, with support from club president M. M. P. D. Mannapperuma....
