Sri Lanka, June 25 -- The official handover of ten TH-57 Sea Ranger multi-purpose helicopters donated by the Government of the United States to enhance the Sri Lanka Air Force's pilot training capacity and expand its air operations took place at the Ratmalana Air Force Base with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake in attendance on Tuesday (23).

The President was accorded a ceremonial welcome with Air Force honours at the Ratmalana Air Force Base. The President subsequently inspected the helicopters.

A bilateral agreement was also signed on the occasion by Air Force Commander, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe and United States Pacific Air Forces Commander, Gen. Kevin Schneider.
