Sri Lanka, July 9 -- The Computer Crime Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) informed Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena yesterday (8) that information has been requested from five countries under the Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters Act (MLA) regarding the incident where US$ 2.5 million belonging to the General Treasury fell into the hands of a computer hacking group.

Police also informed Court that the case exhibits have been forwarded to the Computer Forensic Department of the Colombo University for analysis and the reports have not yet been received.
