Sri Lanka, May 8 -- President instructs officials to expedite legal amendments, rehabilitation measures and anti-drug operations, and destroy seized narcotics.

Raids related to narcotics had increased by 80% since the launch of the programme.

President follows up on measures taken to establish a separate court for narcotics-related cases, expedite receiving Government Analyst reports, and accelerate prosecutions.
