Sri Lanka, Aug. 5 -- The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Sri Lanka's economic reform and development agenda, commending the Government's progress in stabilising the economy and advancing key governance reforms.

The assurance was given by UNDP Assistant Secretary-General Ms. Kanni Wignaraja during a meeting with Minister of Labour and Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando at the Ministry of Finance on Monday.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development, Wignaraja praised the Government's efforts to restore economic stability and reiterated UNDP's commitment to maintaining a close partnership with Sri Lanka in the years ahead....
