Sri Lanka, June 17 -- United Nations Resident Co-ordinator in Sri Lanka Marc-Andre Franche met newly appointed National Commission on Women's (NCW) Chairperson Grace Asirwatham at the Commission's office on Friday (12).

The Resident Co-ordinator congratulated the Chairperson and reaffirmed the United Nations' commitment to supporting the NCW in fulfilling its mandate under the Women Empowerment Act No. 37 of 2024. He was accompanied by representatives of UN Women Sri Lanka, while Commissioners of the NCW also participated in the meeting.
