UDA submits Anuradhapura Sacred City development plan draft proposal
Sri Lanka, Oct. 2 -- The draft proposal for the development of Anuradhapura Sacred City, estimated to cost Rs.7.7 billion has been submitted to the Indian High Commission by the Urban Development Authority.
The Indian Government is expected to provide the financial contribution required for the project, which is expected to commence before the end of this year.
During Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's official visit to Sri Lanka, he had expressed his agreement to provide assistance for a Sacred City development project when he visited the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura.
