Sri Lanka, July 20 -- Two youth died in a head-on collision between a motorcycle and a lorry in the Kananwila area on the Horana-Padukka main road early yesterday morning (19), according to the Horana Headquarters Police.

The deceased have been identified as K. Udisha Sithmina (17), a resident Kiriwaththuduwa, and D. G. Dilshan Madusara Seneviratne (25), a resident of Pannipitiya.

Investigations have revealed that the two were returning home at around 2:30 am after attending a musical show at the Horana Urban Council Grounds.

While travelling, their motorcycle had veered into the opposite lane near the bend near Kande Viharaya in Kananwila and collided with a sand-transporting tipper coming from that direction.
