Two years done, three years to go
SriLanka, Sept. 9 -- Two years have almost lapsed after the formation of the NPP (National People's Power) government led by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake. Everybody is taking stock of the performance of the government that was formed after the Presidential election on September 21, 2024. The day marked a radical departure from mainstream politics in Sri Lanka when the NPP swept the polls.
President Dissanayake took office with people, particularly those who voted for him, harboring hopes of the absence of corruption and fraud, economic development and an orderly country.
