Sri Lanka, July 15 -- Another two prison officers have died while receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit of the Colombo National Hospital for injuries sustained in the Negombo Prison clash that occurred on Monday, July 6 increasing the death toll of prison officers to 10.

Police stated that with the latest death of two more prison officers, one on Monday (13) night and the other yesterday (14) morning, the total death toll from the clash between two underworld and drug trafficking groups of prison inmates at the Negombo Prison has risen to 31.
