Sri Lanka, July 16 -- Two people were killed and a pregnant woman seriously injured in a road accident yesterday morning (15) near the Clock Tower roundabout in the Anuradhapura sacred city.
The injured woman is currently receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital. Police stated that the accident occurred when a motorcycle collided with a "Sisu Seriya" bus transporting schoolchildren. Three people, two men and a woman were traveling on the motorcycle at the time of the crash. Both men died at the scene.
