Sri Lanka, Feb. 23 -- Two men were killed when the cab they were travelling collided with a train plying along the coastal line at Payagala yesterday morning (22), police stated.
Following the accident, three men travelling in the cab were injured and admitted to the Nagoda Teaching Hospital.
Two males, aged 22 and 28, residents of Mahiyanganaya and Molagoda who were admitted to the hospital had succumbed to their injuries, police said. The other injured individual, the driver of the cab is currently receiving treatment.
The accident also caused delays in train services along the coastal line yesterday morning.
Police said reckless driving by the driver of the cab had resulted in the accident. Police are conducting further investigation...
