Two hundred smart classrooms for cyclone-affected schools by Rotary
Sri Lanka, June 8 -- Rotary District 3220 Sri Lanka and Maldives has started a project to support cyclone-affected schools in line with the Government initiative of education reforms, with digital transformation of education, equitable access to quality learning, and strengthening rural education infrastructure.
The handing over of 100 smart classrooms completed under Phase I was held recently at the Hambuluwa Maha Vidyalaya in Alawwa.
Rotary District Governor Delvin Pereira, Rotary Past District Governor Jerome Rajendram, Rotary District Community Service Chair Prof. Chandana Jayaratne, who coordinated the all-island smartboard project, and several other Rotarians and partners participated.
