Sri Lanka, June 1 -- Sri Lanka Coast Guard personnel, in co-ordination with officers of the Excise Department, Biyagama, arrested two persons along with liquor bottles and beer cans during a search operation conducted at Ulhitiyawa and Dankotuwa on the Vesak Full Moon Poya day (30).
The suspects were found in possession of 15 bottles of locally manufactured arrack and 24 cans of beer, which were intended for sale. The arrested suspects, together with the seized liquor, were handed over to the Biyagama Excise Department Office for legal proceedings.
