Sri Lanka, March 23 -- In line with the Government's increase in petrol prices, the three-wheeler fare charged for the first kilometer will have to be increased by Rs.20, Rohana Perera, the National Joint Three-Wheeler Drivers and Industrial Workers' Association said yesterday (22).
Speaking to the media in Colombo he said trishaw operators were facing difficulties due to the steep increase in fuel prices.
However, he said only drivers who use meters can take such action. He also said his association intends to talk to Government authorities soon regarding the difficulties faced by his Association members.
