Trincomalee, Anuradhapura hospitals set to receive cardiac care facilities worth Rs. 5 bn
Sri Lanka, Aug. 24 -- Cabinet approval has been granted to award contracts for the construction of a new Cardiology Unit at the Trincomalee District General Hospital and a new Cardiology and Cardiothoracic Surgical Complex at the Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital.
The projects are being implemented under the Health and Medical Services Improvement Project, launched in 2018 with financial assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency, to strengthen cardiac diagnosis and treatment services.
