Srilanka, Oct. 3 -- Gampola after a nearly ten month suspension caused by Cyclone Ditwah.

Following Cyclone Ditwah, train services on the Upcountry Line from Rambukkana to Kandy and Badulla were stopped. The Railway Department will re-operate trains from Colombo Fort to Peradeniya and Gampola once again. ke train commenced journey from Colombo Fort at 5.55 yesterday morning as a test train.

The service is scheduled to continue from Peradeniya to Gampola, while restoration work continues on the Upcountry Line.

At the Rambukkana Railway Station,Transport Minister Bimal Ratnayake and other officials from the Railways Department and the Transport Ministry also joined the test train ride.
