Sri Lanka, Oct. 30 -- Train services between Rambukkana and Peradeniya which were temporarily suspended on October 24 and 25 will resume within approximately one week, Transport and Highways Deputy Minister Dr. Prasanna Gunasena said yesterday (29).

Regular services from Colombo Fort up to Peradeniya and Gampola resumed on October 2, after nearly 10 months of disruptions caused by Cyclone Ditwah. However, he clarified that train operations along this section faced a temporary suspension again around October 24 and25 due to the track sinking between Peradeniya and Kandy and this location affected by the disaster this time is not the same site that was damaged by Ditwah.Read Travel Guides
