Srilanka, July 4 -- A train engine, a carriage of a service train, and a few bogeys will be transported from Kandy to Peradeniya during the week end.

For the restoration of landslide sites on the railway line between Kadugannawa and Rambukkana on the up-country railway line, a railway engine, a railway service carriage, and several bogeys will be transported from Kandy Railway Station to Peradeniya Railway Station by special carriers from the night of July 3 onwards, District Railway Engineer Danushka Dissanayake said.

He said that a railway carriage and a few bogeys will be transported to the Peradeniya Railway Station on Friday night and arrangements have been made to transport a railway engine weighing around 70 tonnes on Monday.
