Sri Lanka, July 20 -- A 23-year-old Turkish woman was seriously injured after falling from the footboard of the Badulla-bound Podi Menike train yesterday while taking a photograph. The incident occurred around 9am between the Perakumpura and Ambewela railway stations, according to the Ambewela Station Master.

The woman was travelling from Nanu Oya to Ella with two of her friends. The accident happened when she lost her balance and fell while standing on the train's foot board to take photographs.
