Sri Lanka, July 28 -- A proposed Constitutional amendment to raise the retirement age of judges in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal would set a dangerous precedent for future governments to alter the judiciary for political convenience, a group of senior lawyers and President's Counsels warned yesterday (27), calling for a wider public consultation before any changes are made.
