Sri Lanka, Oct. 2 -- Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna General Secretary Tilvin Silva met Indian External Affairs Minister Dr.S.Jaishankar yesterday. The meeting took place during Tilvin Silva's visit to India. A five member delegation led by the JVP General Secretary left for India for a five day visit as part of JVP- BJP meeting.

Posting on X, Dr.Jaishankar said the two sides had a discussion on strengthening the deep bonds of friendship between India and Sri Lanka.

Jaishankar also said India, as a trusted partner, will always support Sri Lanka's progress and prosperity.
