Sri Lanka, March 23 -- The Road Passenger Transport Authority (RPTA) has revised three-wheeler fares in the Western Province with effect from today (23).
The fare for the first kilometre has been increased to Rs. 110 from the previous Rs. 100. Each additional kilometre will now cost Rs. 90, up from Rs. 80.
The RPTA said the revision is necessary to ensure sustainable transport services in the province, following recent increases in petrol and diesel prices due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
