SriLanka, Sept. 21 -- A group of officers from the Airport Police Narcotic Bureau arrested three foreign female passengers early yesterday morning while they were attempting to smuggle in a stock of kush and hashish valued at Rs. 85 million through Katunayake Airport.

The suspects are Thai nationals aged 31, 36, and 38, who work at several companies in Thailand.

They had arrived at Katunayake Airport early in the morning from Bangkok, Thailand.

Upon inspection, 5 kg 214 g of kush and 2 kg 472 g of hashish were found concealed inside their luggage, packed in airtight containers disguised as supplementary food and collagen bottles, as well as soap packaging on the outside.
