Sri Lanka, Sept. 16 -- Court of Appeal President Justice Rohantha Abeysuriya has nominated a three-judge-bench to hear the contempt of court proceedings against six individuals including former Ministers Wimal Weerawansa and Udaya Gammanpila, MP Dilith Jayaweera, accused of making false and contemptuous statements about ongoing judicial proceedings concerning the Easter Sunday attacks.

Accordingly, the contempt of court proceedings will be taken up for hearing on September 18 before Court of Appeal three-judge-bench comprising Justice (President) Rohantha Abeysuriya, Justice Chamath Morais and Justice Adithya Patabendige.
